The Holodeck: Past and Present

With the death of Cardiff's seminal techno night, I.D, came the birth of Holodeck. Created by Spencer Thompson and Paul Scheeres, The Holodeck was set up in order to provide a regular front for Underground Electronic Music in South Wales.

Eight years on and the principals The Holodeck was firmly founded on are still alive today, hosting quality underground events welcome to all, showcasing local and national DJs who innovate, inspire and continue to push the scene forward. Offering a no-bullshit alternative to the discerning raver who simply wants to party.

Although The Holodeck has had numerous homes throughout Cardiff over the years, from Basements, to warehouses via the legendary Ice Rink Function Rooms (each with their own distinctive charm), Clwb Ifor Bach is now the official H.Q. Allowing them to develop their musical policy even further, offering a regular dose of Techno Beats, Bass and Breaks, continuing to provide a safe and friendly environment in which to party.

There are no cut-throat promoters behind this operation, just an ever-growing community of DJs and friends that come from a free/house party scene who want to put on a night that they can be proud of.
